Hupacasath Hires 2 Summer Students

With funding from the Nuu-Chah-Nulth Tribal Council, Hupacasath was able to hire 2 summer students for the 2 positions available. Serena Read will be working in the administrative position at HFN and Jacob Lauder will be working in the garden position at the Incredible Edibles. The 2 students started working on July 20 and will continue working till the end of August.

Serena Read is the daughter of Simon & Brenda Read and she just graduated from
ADSS. She will be attending SFU in Vancouver this fall and will be working towards her
Bachelor of Science degree. Serena’s favorite subjects in school were French, Math and
Science and her hobbies were playing sports such as soccer and hockey.

Jacob Lauder is the son of Brandy Lauder and Mike Turner and will be going into grade 12 this year at ADSS. His plans after he graduates is to either go into a Trade program-plumbing or join the police force. Jacob’s favorite subjects in school are math and science and he likes to swim, bike, play games and poker in his free time.
